Cash Back - A consumer's reward for choosing a particular finance product

Some companies will offer a cash back reward to consumers for opting for their finance products. You should be aware of any such rewards and make sure that it not added on to the overall cost of the finance being borrowed. These sort of cash back incentives are not always what they first appear to be and you can very often end up paying that cash back to the lender in the long run.

Cash Back Example - Cash Back on a UK Mortgage
This is a marketing offer, customers take out a UK mortgage lenders mortgage product and they receive a lump sum of money. This money could be a set figure or a percentage of the overall mortgage. This cash back finance could then be used to fund the deposit or be used for immediate home improvements, repairs or to purchase furniture for the new home. It does seem irresistible to the consumer, but be aware that you are probably paying it back in the long run as it may be added to the overall cost of the mortgage over the full term. Companies are unlikely to be offering something for nothing.

Cash Back Information.
Some UK credit card issuers also offer cash back on initial sign up. Free gifts will be on offer as well as money off financial services such as UK home insurance and UK motor insurance. All are incentives to take and use their credit cards. Just having one of these credit cards offering these deals could be saving the consumer money if they take advantage of the deals. However be aware of how you use the credit card and make sure repay the outstanding balance regularly as you so easily sink into debt problems if you don't keep track of these cards.
